Clash, and Light & Harmony

ParfumsBelcam has two new fragrances rolling out this month, both are our versions of Ed Hardy® fragrances. Clash™ is our version of Ed Hardy® for men, and Light & Harmony™ is our version of Ed Hardy® Love & Luck for Women (which RyanNY posted about recently).

Clash™, our version of the popular Ed Hardy® for men eau de toilette, is a refreshing fougere fragrance composed of cool marine notes and citrus highlights blended with fresh green accord and a base of sheer musks and precious wood. A fragrance with soul! I think this is a great fragrance for young men, that can be used casually on a daily basis.

Light & Harmony™, our version of Ed Hardy Love & Luck* for women is a fruity, floral fragrance with top notes of cherry blossom and iced bergamot followed by hints of white muguet, black currant and sheer jasmine over a base of creamy musk and patchouli. Edgy yet elegant!

In July 2008, Kim Kardashian annouced on her blog that she was making her own perfume, and that it would be out in May 2009, before Mother’s Day. Well, it’s May, and I haven’t been able to find a shred of info on a release, or even a name for it.

Kim was very excited about announcing the perfume, saying:

“It has always been a dream of mine to start my own perfume business, since I love to mix fragrances together and come up with new and different scents! I hope you understand my total excitement as I let you, the readers of my blog, become the first to know that I am creating my own fragrance!!”

Kim said she was working with French perfumer Caroline Sabas to create the perfume that will be produced by New Wave Fragrances. She even mentioned the bottle designer, Scott Oshry.

I’ll do my best to find out when this fragrance is coming out. In the meantime here’s a couple blog posts from Kim’s blog to keep us occupied:

In Australia this week, pop singer Kylie Minogue released her new perfume, Sexy Darling. Adoring fans packed the Myer City Store in Sydney, some even waiting outside overnight, to get a chance to sing with Kylie. She was picking one fan out of the crowd to come on stage and sing. 11 year old Alannah Quartly was the lucky lady that was chosen. A little choked up, Kylie had to sing with her and help her out. 

 

The perfume, Sexy Darling, is Kylie Minogues fourth venture into the perfume world. Sexy Darliing is an alluring floral woody fragrance, designed to capture the sparkling, seductive charm of the superstar. Based on the exotic belle de nuit flower and red rose, and accented by a lush pear note. Musk and sandalwood tie it together for a distinct, enriched body. The result, a unique perfume that expresses Kylie’s glamor, and sultry femininity.

Top notes: Pink pepper, pear and blood orange 
Middle notes: Red rose, belle de nuit, jasmine 
Base notes: Heliotrope, sandalwood, musk

One new perfume hitting the market this month is actually a redesigned version of an old one. Our old friend from Calvin Klein, Obsession, hits the shelves again as Secret Obsession. Though is boasts an all new scent, its mischievous intention is still the same. The original was made to capture the “essence of the 1980s obsession with carnal and material gratification.” And it did just that well into the 1990s! However, the 2000s call for a revision of what sexy means today. Enter Secret Obsession:

Sounds nice, and I’m sure there will be a men’s version on the way. It will be interesting to see the notes in that!

There’s also the media hype, that must be talked about with this fragrance release! Eva Mendes is the super-spokesmodel for Secret Obsession. Calvin Klein, being Calvin Klein, made a very risqué ad campaign, including a TV spot that they had to have known was going to be rejected by ALL of television. One of the YouTube links I followed was even deleted for obscenity! In the ad, Eva is rolling around nude in bed. Enough said! It certainly got the fragrance talked about!
